What are Subsidies all about?
The NZ Government is very keen to encourage NZ Citizens and Residents to increase their education levels. Thus they make available certain subsidies to NZQA approved Tertiary Education Providers such as Mainland Driving School. These subsidies do not cover the total course cost but allow Mainland to discount the fee it charges to you as the student. If it were not for such subsidies, the cost of your course would be substantially higher. Who Qualifies for the Subsidy?
Citizens of the following countries: New Zealand (including permanent Residents), Australia, Cook Islands, Nuie How Do I Claim a Subsidy? - Bring a copy of your Birth Certificate or Passport with you to the course unless we already hold a copy on file.
- Complete a Subsidy Application Form each time you attend a different course.
