Equal Employment Opportunities Goals & Objectives: Our goals are: 1) to provide high quality driver education courses for our students. 2) to provide these as cost effectively as possible. 3) to perform these services in a very timely manner in a professional environment. To achieve these goals we must: 1) maintain a high focus on excellence in training and education. 2) make the best interests of the student our prime concern. [top] Equal Education Opportunities: Mainland Driving School supports a policy of Equal Education Opportunities. All who meet the entry criteria for any particular course are invited to enrol. Those students who can demonstrate that they meet the criteria from time to time stipulated by various funding agencies will be able to undertake their course at a subsidised rate. While those who cannot meet that criteria will not qualify for a subsidy, the course will none-the-less still be available to them at the normal rate. Mainland Driving School is committed to lifting qualification levels within the industries of it's major stakeholders. Therefore it is keen to provide these learning opportunities to all who meet those entry criteria. [top] Recognition of Prior Learning Policy: Mainland Driving School understands that many students are able to demonstrate a degree of competence, knowledge and understanding in relation to the course for which they are enrolled prior to their undertaking that course. Mainland Driving School has therefore implemented a policy that recognises this Prior Learning. This Prior Learning is particularly evident in the area of additional Driver Licences. Those attending a course for Truck Licences, for instance, will have been driving a car for at least 6 months prior to undertaking the course. Each individual student's level of competence, knowledge and understanding in this regard will be considered by the assessor at the time of the course to ascertain what level of instruction and training will then be necessary for that student. Any student should feel free to discuss their Prior Learning with the Tutor or Assessor for their course. Prior Learning may be demonstrated by learning applicable to that course. A certain Unit Standards may already be recorded on the student's Record of Learning with NZQA. The Tutor/Assessor may undertake a Prior Learning Assessment of that student to determine the level of Prior Learning applicable to that course. [top] Credit Transfer Policy: The nature of the courses run by Mainland Driving School does not require the transfer of Credits other than to recognise Unit Standards already registered on the student's Record of Learning with NZQA. [top] Policy on Stakeholder Relations: Mainland Driving School values it's relationship with it's stakeholders and welcomes any and all feedback from it's stakeholders. Any stakeholders should feel free to contact any of the managers of Mainland Driving School at any time to supply such feedback or to request information or other support relative to the Mainland Driving School Ltd Charter.
