Safety:
The entire forklift course revolves around the safe operation of a forklift and safety around a forklift.  So please wear safety boots or sturdy footwear on the day.
NO JANDALS or SANDALS please.

Length of Training Course:
After some study at home, it can take as little as ONE DAY at Mainland to complete your training.  Courses commence at 8:00am.

Course Dates:
We run several forklift course per week, including fortnightly Saturdays.  For the dates scheduled for upcoming months please go to the course dates page.

Study Materials:
When you book your training day at Mainland we will send you out some study notes to start your course.  You should read over these notes before you come, which will prepare you well for the assessment day at Mainland. During the assessment day you will be allowed to refer to these notes so you do not need to memorise them, however you should try to be familiar with them.  If there is anything you don't understand or you need any help at all, please feel free to call our assessors on 0800 GET LICENCE.  We are here to help!

What You Get:
After completing the training course you will receive an OSH Aproved Operator's Safety Certificate and an NZTA F Endorsement certificate. The NZTA F Endorsement Certificate is to be taken to a licensing agent (AA or VTNZ) and they will put an 'F' on your Driver Licence.  The OSH Certificate is to be shown to your employer and to any inspectors that request to see it.
The Forklift Safety Certificate needs to be renewed every 3 years to ensure that you are up to date with the safety measures needed to drive a forklift.

There are just 2 easy steps:

  1. Book you course with Mainland and we will send you Study Notes to start your course.  Then attend our OPEN BOOK TRAINING & ASSESSMENT DAY. (subsidised) At the end of the day, upon passing, we will certify your competency.
  2. Take your PASS CERTIFICATE to the AA or VTNZ and they will issue you with your F Endorsement. (They will charge $37.20 for this)
